Dogs Available

From time to time some owners need to re-home their pets, for many reasons.

We offer a service here at the farm, that enables your pet to stay with us on a special boarding rate, until such time as a new pet home is found with a suitable home.

Moving forward into 2024 and onwards we are looking for GVW GSD Partners.

I have become aware that we do a great job with our GSD's and although I wish to myself slow down a little, I would still very much like to contribute to good quality GSD's out there to showcase this wonderful breed.

We raise amazing dogs here and I am keen to find pet homes for our dogs to retire to sooner rather than later.

Historically my girls have had their litters with me and stayed for the duration of those litters, so looking to retire around 5 years old.

We have been incredibly successful in finding the very best of homes for our boys and our girls over the years.

Thank you to all of you past, current and future.

However my mindset is changing.

We raise great dogs, with lovely natures, they have all been extensively tested before any breeding takes place.

They have produced beautiful pups and have been great parents.

With my plan to reduce my dogs over the next few years, I am taking the first steps in finding semi-retirement homes and working with trust worthy people to continue to breed great GSD's.

This simply means that we would like to place our mums that have had 1 litter with a great home with the option that over the next 18 months we look to have a 2nd and final litter.

There will be no charge for our dogs and we will have our girls spayed after that 2nd litter.

This will be a huge emotional commitment so please consider all options before contacting me.

If you may be interested in chatting more about becoming a GVW GSD Partner, then please do get in touch.

We look forward to your call.

Ghost

Ghosts good points are that she is:

Alert and energetic when it comes to work/play (sniffing out treats in play etc) can be silly and get over excited but is more eager to learn new tricks.

Affectionate towards anyone that will give her attention, she is very good with new people once they are properly introduced.

Her bad points:

I think it is best she isn't rehomed with another dog, as it stands she has an ok relationship with my other dog but she is very pushy/over the top with him and now cannot be off leash with him because she has bit him whilst chasing.

She has also become dog selective and will lunge at other dogs especially if they react to her also.

She has gotten into the habit of going toilet in our living room but this is the only room it's happening in and we believe it's due to stress.

Tarka

Meet Tarka born 02.05.21.

Bi Colour short coat.

She has been spayed.

Tarka is the most loving dog you will ever meet, please don't consider her unless you have the time to sit for lots of belly rubs and cuddles.  If you stop before she is ready, she will grab your arm with her paw and make you continue.

Her life is centred around balls, she loves them particularly her boomer ball and once there is a ball in sight her whole focus is on that.  She can be distracted from anything by the sight of a ball.

She is used to children of all ages and is a real mother around them.

She is friendly with cats and has lived with one in the house and lots of them next door.

She loves her time on the sofa and bed but though she starts the night on the bed she usually sleeps at the side of the bed, but she is used to being allowed on the sofa and bed whenever she wants.

She loves cheese snacks especially the primula tube squeezy cheese.

She walks very good on the lead and once she has bonded with you, she will listen.

The only bad thing about her is she does not like other dogs - she has lived with Bracken for the last two years and has got on famously with him, but I don't know if that's because he's her son - she is the boss of the relationship though.

For this reason, she cannot be trusted off lead except in enclosed fields etc.  If you are walking with her and she sees another dog she is controllable and can be distracted with a ball.

The only other bad thing about her and it's not bad really is she will get a soft toy and worry it until she gets a little hole and will sit and pull the stuffing out of it bit by bit - I've tried the indestructible toys, and they last a few days longer but not much.

Aside from this she is the most loveable dog you could ever meet. She will lie and cuddle up to you all night, she loves company and would thrive better with someone who is around most of the time. Which is the only reason I'm re-homing her as I love her to bits but due to a massive change in circumstance, I cannot be around to give her the love and attention she needs.

Bracken

Meet Bracken, son of Tarka and Quattro born 24th July 2023.

Black & Tan Short Coat

Bracken will be neutered before he leaves for his new home

Bracken is a boisterous, fun loving, loving boy.

He is used to being around children of all ages and is very trustworthy around them.

He loves all people and is friendly with everyone, even the postman, he does bark when he sees anyone - or any dogs - mainly to let them know he is there and wants attention.

He loves teddies and likes to take one to bed with him.

He is used to being allowed on the sofa and the bed which he loves as he likes his comfort and lies in bed with his head on the pillow.

He is friendly and loving, funny and goofy, clever and playful, loves kisses and cuddles, watches the tv but doesn't like it when football is on and usually heads off to bed then.

Loves long walks and being outside - loves playing ball and has just learnt to actually bring it back to be thrown again.

The main negative side of him which will change with training is he barks at everything he sees, and he is very strong.  He walks nicely on the lead but if he sees another dog or anything interesting, he will try to run to it - I am not strong enough to hold him and I wouldn't recommend a child to lead him - he does need someone very strong - he will be distracted by a ball or a treat.

Apart from that he is lovely, he has a very gentle nature, doesn't bark when someone knocks on the door but will if they walk past.

He is very friendly with cats and is okay with other dogs. He is used to living with his Mum, Tarka and I am sure he would settle with another dog.

I have had a massive change of circumstances otherwise I would never part with him.

A magnificent young man, who came to us from the US last December.

He is a loving and responsive male, who is clearly magnificently handsome and great on the lead.

I am looking for a semi-retirement home for him with a localish family, where he can live a great life and come back to us on the occasion when his duties are required.

As always, the new home will be with people that know me.

Please free to What’s app me or call me if you would like more details or to chat more.
